BIO

I am a Junior Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Texas at Austin. I am interested in engineering, design, photography, travel, and mountaineering. My passion is to create things to advance humanity and solve social issues. I speak, read, write, and even sometimes dream in French! For fun, I run marathons, ski/snowboard, rock climb, and love to go backpacking in the mountains.

 

At school, I am involved in Longhorn Racing, a student organization devoted to designing and manufacturing a carbon fiber solar race car to compete in a 1500-2000 mile cross-country collegiate solar car racing competition. Here, I am using Solidworks and finite element analysis to create robust custom attachment solutions for the shell and computational fluid dynamics to optimize the aeroshell for low drag. I've had the pleasure of getting hands-on experience manufacturing two 16-foot fiberglass and carbon fiber composite layups.

 

My whole life, I have been drawn to engineering for a love of creation. I've drafted buildings for an architectural practice and designed a water treatment facility for an internship with Whiting-Turner, a construction contracting company. I also designed a back brace for Scoliosis for an internship with Medtronic and an inclusive playground for the LuBirds Light Foundation. I'm also a Campus Co-Founder for Storage Scholars, where I manage the UT Austin campus moves. I’ve done back-end, logistic, and organizational work for over 100 moves, managing two moving trucks and 9 employees.
